It would appear I should eat my words. The guitarist now wants to take a "break", which basically means he doesn't want to play anymore.

Frankly, I suppose in a way, I am grateful. It was beginning to be too much for me. But on the bright side, I am closer to understanding exactly what I want, and what I don't want in a band.

Once creating music becomes stress, and not enjoyment, it drains inspiration -- and even in the face of accomplishments, one must not lose sight of their dreams. In many ways working w/ Stillife was a wonderful experience and a great creative outlet. In other ways, it was emotionally taxing and physically heavy.

So, this is it. I need to explore more avenues and find something that truly clicks. I clicked w/ Stillife, but I think we hit a plateau that we were never going to escape from.

I'm sure we'll come together some day to finish what we've started, but in the meantime, I am going to seek another band. So perhaps I'll wait a bit before sticking my foot in my mouth. Perhaps this too was fate's way of pushing me along my path...

... whatever it may be.
