Goodbye Corporate America!

I gave notice at my work. My last day will be May 5th, and then I'll start concentrating even more on my music and the next few stages of my life. My house will go up for sale mid-may and hopefully be done and sold by mid-june. My job has also offered me a bit of side-work as a consultant, so that's good.

I gave a copy of "Slips Away" to my friend Tim who plays piano and asked him to come up with something for it. I didn't really know what to expect, and I wasn't sure if he'd actually do it or not. Over the weekend I went to his condo to listen to what he had come up with so far and I was absolutely floored. Seriously, my jaw was plastered to the floor. I knew the guy was good, but what he came up with was AMAZING and I am so excited to get in and record it and play around. He had some amazing harmonies with the guitar and vocals and some accentuation that was just bad-ass!

We were scheduled to go in to the studio w/ Adam on Tuesday but I have to put it off until next week. Tim will be out of town this weekend but hopefully by next weekend I'll have some tracks to post. It would be awesome if I could get Tim wrapped up into this project too on synth/piano.

The train is moving on the tracks.

Now... if I can just avoid the cliffs and the walls!
